Join us for a special Certified Lean Apprentice program which includes an online learning experience available March 1st through April 30th, followed by an in-person review and an exciting hands-on Lean Lego simulation at the University of Wyoming on April 7th at 5:00 pm.
Our Certified Lean Apprentice program provides a great introduction to the principles, concepts, and terms that everyone “must understand” in any organization seeking to make a Lean Transformation, the #1 organizational improvement program. Whether you’re a student or professional, this program will give you the tools and confidence required to help analyze value streams, identify waste, design and implement improvements, and promote continuous improvement. The Certified Lean Apprentice designation is a great enhancement to any resume.
Regularly priced at $295, members and friends of the Association for Supply Chain Management Northern Colorado & Wichita can enroll and take this online program for only $125 – a savings of 57%. In addition, part of the proceeds will support the University of Wyoming Supply Chain Management Club.
This special event will run for a limited time through March 31st, 2026.
What’s Involved with the online Learning Activities?
The online learning management system includes:
- articles, videos, and assignments helping you learn the critical Lean principles, terms, and concepts
- Exercises designed to teach the challenges of meeting customer requirements
- Quizzes which measure your progress in learning the key principles, concepts, and terms
- Coaching from an instructor at every step along the way; you will not be alone on this journey of discovery
- A certification exam providing the opportunity to earn personal recognition as a Certified Lean Apprentice
For most people, your time investment will be about 6 to 8 hours.
Attending the in-person workshop is not required for earning the Certified Lean Apprentice designation.

About the University of Wyoming Supply Chain Program
The University of Wyoming’s Supply Chain Program, housed in the College of Business, prepares students for careers in supply chain management and operations through a strong foundation in sourcing, logistics, operations, analytics, and project management. Launched in Fall 2025, the program emphasizes experiential learning, corporate partnerships, and industry-recognized certifications such as Lean and Six Sigma. Students engage directly with regional and national employers through case competitions, guest speakers, plant tours, and hands-on projects, ensuring they graduate career-ready with practical, in-demand skills.
