Q3 Update from Mike Loughrin
With the third quarter of 2025 in our wake, let’s list the most exciting accomplishments during Q3:
- New Lean Leadership Resource
- New Performance Management Class
- Mollie McCoy Joins TA
- Colorado Lean Network Summit
- Featured Customer of the Quarter
- Fourth Quarter Plan
Each of the accomplishments deserve a closer look.

1. New Lean Leadership Resource
We launched a new resource on Lean Leadership.
Success with a Lean Transformation program requires Lean Leadership. It takes leadership engagement to enjoy the tremendous benefits from a successful Lean program. Our resource page provides a roadmap for the leadership team to navigate the 3 phases of a Lean Transformation.
These 3 critical phases of a Lean Transformation, where the leadership team has special responsibilities, are explore, launch, and sustain. Each phase has unique responsibilities for the leadership team at any organization.

2. New Performance Management Class
We launched a new class on Performance Management.
This course provides a great introduction to the principles, concepts, and terms which managers, supervisors, team leaders, HR professionals, and improvement specialists need to know.
Participants explore how to set expectations, monitor performance, and evaluate employees. There is an emphasis on understanding how weak process design or measurements can lead to poor performance. Lean and Six Sigma are introduced as options for improving processes.

3. Mollie McCoy Joins TA
We are thrilled to welcome Mollie McCoy to our team.
Mollie will be helping with everything from creating and scheduling social media posts to updating our website and keeping our customer lists up to date. She’ll also lend a hand with marketing projects and local events. We’re so glad to have her joining us and look forward to the creativity and energy she’ll bring to Transformance Advisors.

4. Colorado Lean Network Summit
We sponsored the Colorado Lean Network Summit held on September 5th.
The summit was held at Children’s Hospital Colorado and brought together Lean enthusiasts from across Colorado.
As part of the fun, we ran a competition using the “red bead game”. Winners got a wonderful Transformance Advisors glass. Those who did not win got a chance to try again.
Everyone was a winner.

5. Featured Customer of the Quarter
We ran a Lean workshop at the University of Wyoming using our RobotRick simulation.
20 participants learned how a poor process can be filled with waste which causes poor service, weak financial results, and a miserable quality of life. They then worked to eliminate waste using a few techniques from the Lea toolbox. The results were astonishing!
It was a wonderful learning experience.
Future events at the University of Wyoming include Certified Lean Apprentice and Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt classes.

6. Fourth Quarter Plan
The third quarter was fairly calm after the extremely busy second quarter. Everyone took vacations and got recharged. The fourth quarter promises excitement with a return to classes, workshops, and projects.
We will be helping clients and prospects apply for educational grants facilitated by Manufacturer’s Edge, Colorado’s official Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Center. The funding for training is through Skill Advance Colorado Job Training Grants. If you are a Colorado manufacturer, then contact us to see how you can benefit from training grants.
Large classes for Lean and Six Sigma are starting in September and October. We are expecting about 300 people to complete their training and their projects in the fourth quarter. Many clients are working through Lean or Six Sigma projects. We also have a number of organizations getting ready to launch their Lean Transformation programs.
