Collaboration with Manufacturer’s Edge
We have been very busy working with Manufacturer’s Edge, Colorado’s official Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Center. They provide onsite support, strategy, planning, training, and technical assistance to manufacturers of all sizes. We are helping a number of companies pursue funding for Lean training through Skill Advance Colorado Job Training Grants.
If you are a Colorado manufacturer, then contact us us about how you can benefit from training grants.
1st Place in Global Competition with The Fresh Connection
Mara and I were on the team which took 1st place in the Global Educator & Trainer Challenge for The Fresh Connection. Our team beat 30 other teams from across the globe. Other team members were Nicolai Rassolov, Abrar Khan, and Yu-Cheng Chien.

Increasing Value and Reach through SEO
We continued our success working with Boulder SEO Marketing (BSM) to enhance our brand recognition through Search Engine Optimization. Their Micro-SEO Strategies℠ takes a hyper-focused approach, whereby we are implementing improvements page-by-page.
We sharpened the focus of our Lean Transformation Program. There is a greater emphasis on the 3 critical components of Lean Projects, Continuous Improvement, and Program Management. The feedback has been swift and our webpage now ranks #3 for Google searches and is heading to #1.
The pages for all of our Lean training programs are ranking very well. Certified Lean Master is ranking #1.
Sponsored the Colorado Lean Network Summit
We were honored to sponsor the Colorado Lean Network Summit in October. The 1-day summit brought together Lean enthusiasts from across Colorado.
Highlights of the event, which was held at conference facilities for the Denver Zoo, include:
- ~140 attendees
- 6 breakout sessions
- A visit from Big Foot
While meeting Big Foot is one of my personal highlights of the day, the great presentations and breakout sessions made the event one of the best Lean learning experiences of the year.
Crafted our 2025 Annual Plan
We held a strategic planning retreat in December where we reviewed 2024 and crafted a plan for 2025.
Our review of 2024 included:
- Assessment of Performance
- SWOT Analysis
- Review of Mission, Vision, and Core Values
Our plan for 2025 will focus on 3 strategic initiatives:
- Leveraging Partnerships
- Enhancing our Content
- Improving our Sustainability
Each of our strategic initiatives have goals, projects, and planned investments for 2025. It is going to be wonderful year.
